And the political season heats up....
Declaring the American dream under siege, President Obama called Tuesday night for a flurry of help for a hurting middle class and higher taxes on millionaires, delivering a State of the Union address packed with re-election themes. Restoring a fair shot for all, Obama said, is “the defining issue of our time.”
Say what you will about the political competency of Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum or even Michelle Bachmann, but none of those candidates promised the entire nation a free pony while wearing half of a hip wader on their heads. And that’s why Vermin Supreme, the self-proclaimed “friendly fascist” who looks like Gandalf from ‘Lord of the Rings’ after a bender, has our vote in the 2012 presidential race.
You are invited to watch Mayor Don Ness and the new City Council Members take the Oath of Office. Be part of history and enjoy a day of celebration. Here's the details on that and the Mayor's State of the City address.

So, it hit me. President Obama will be pardoning a turkey tomorrow. Why I remembered, I don't know. It's an odd thing to do, but it's been going on since President Dwight Eisenhower was in office and he ate his bird! That's NO pardon!!! I suppose in the turkey world, it's considered to be an honor to be eaten by the President, but you only hold that honor for a day. Cheryl Phillips from examiner.com tells us the skinny.
In case you haven't heard about this, I'll bring you up to speed. University of California Davis was trying to dismiss Occupy protestors on Friday. During the clash between protestors and campus police one of the officers pepper sprayed a line of men and women sitting (blocking) the sidewalk. It wasn't a very popular action and it has spread across the internet very quickly.
This morning on the Breakfast Club Cathy and I got a little more upset about the fact that David Drew has seen Brad Paisley multiple times, and we have never got to go. We started a movement and with the occupy events going on worldwide, we started our own event. #occupydavid.
