Real Stories Make Up Ronnie Dunn’s Cost Of Livin’ Music Video

Cathy and I were talking this morning about how relate-able Ronnie Dunn's song "Cost Of Livin" is.  It's a sad song, but it's one of my favorites on the radio right now.  Check out the music video for an example of what this song represents

Looks like Occupy Wall Street demonstrators have picked up some steam.  They've been protesting on wall street for months now and they've sparked similar protests in other cities across the United States.  For example, there is now Occupy Boston.  What is Occupy Wall Street?

On Fox & Friends, Hank Jr. had some things to say about our President.  One of which was playing golf with John Boehner was like Hitler playing golf with Netanyahu.  I'm not quite sure where the relevant point was, but it's an interesting interview.

Ridiculous Request Causes Texas To End Special Last Meals Before Executions

Have you ever thought of what you would eat if you knew it was going to be your last meal?  I think I probably would go out with a nice thick porterhouse steak, covered with onions and mushrooms, served with green beens and fried potatoes.

Lawrence Russell Brewer was a little more difficult to please.  He was convicted and sentenced to death for the hate crime of dragging a man to death, and when it came to his last meal, you won't believe what he requested.

Obama Calls On Congress To Quickly Pass His ‘American Jobs Act’

Another speech and another policy proposal.  Let's face it, political parties survive by never compromising and working together.  If that truly happened, the game and all the money that can be generated by playing it would disappear and no political party wants that.  I don't mean to sound jaded but I've seen both major political parties make promises when not in office that they never followed through on once elected.

I hope a plan comes out that truly puts Americans back to work because we need it.  However I doubt either party cares about that, they only care about playing the political game and making noise.  That said, this is still the best country in the world despite the current state of the political machine.

Vikings One Step Closer To Leaving As Legislators Call For Vote On Stadium?

No stadium, no more Minnesota Vikings.  Even if you aren't a sports fan, if you live in Minnesota you must realize the millions of dollars in revenue the state will lose if they leave.  Meanwhile the average citizen would feel zero impact in regards to the cost to build it.   The Minnesota Twins got a stadium with out a vote and it has rejuvenated the area and has been a boon for area businesses and the state.  If Minnesota starts to lose professional sports franchises, then Minnesota becomes Iowa -- only colder.

The state's top two legislative leaders now want local voters to have a say in a new Minnesota Vikings stadium project, a move that potentially creates a major obstacle for the plan.

Michele Bachmann Tells Florida Crowd She Won’t Rule Out Minimum Wage Changes As Overall Plan To Create Jobs

I think we should allow sweatshops too so we don't lose jobs to an overseas company.  I really don't think lowering our standards is the best way to achieve our goals. Lowering the minimum wage could possibly create some more jobs, but wouldn't it also just create more working poor Americans? It appears some politicians don't care about that, they just want stats to show something is going on even though that something isn't truly helping anyone (except business executives).  This would be like solving our obesity problems in America by raising the weight requirements to be considered obese.  We'd suddenly have less obesity but not a healthier nation.
