The 2013 Oscars ceremony was rumored a while back to pay tribute to the 50 years of James Bond films by uniting the actors who've played 007 on the stage. Although one of the Oscars producers debunked that rumor not too long after the fact, there was indeed a portion of the show dedicated to the epic franchise.
Here it is. The bit that puts Seth MacFarlane either on a course to success or so many hours of suck. William Shatner seemed like an ... odd choice, but maybe it's a sign that this is just the beginning of a four-hour episode of 'Family Guy.'
We've got some guesses as to what's going to happen at the Oscars this Sunday. Nick Nolte's already told us about his pet crow, so we're guessing it's just going to be women wearing insanely expensive, unnecessarily frilly, sparkly dresses giving canned answers and men in tuxedos posing for cameras.
Everyone will be glued to their TVs on Sunday for the Academy Awards, a night that both entertainers and fans will be talking about in the days that follow. One of the great traditions of the annual ceremony celebrating the best of the past year of Hollywood is how unpredictable and outrageous it can get
'Anchorman: The Legend Continues' is actually happening, and casting is coming together now. Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner, Christina Applegate, and Kristen Wiig are already signed on, and now word is that James Marsden has joined the cast as a rival anchor.
It's that time of year again, when the weather is chilly and we all read Wikipedia entries on American foreign policy in Afghanistan so we don't sound like idiots while discussing 'Zero Dark Thirty.' Oscar season is here!
This year's race is a doozy, and it's safe to say you've got some questions. Well, we've got answers! While we can't guarantee the accuracy of these answers, we can guarantee they'll at least be as helpful as those "Frequently Asked Questions" articles you see on various websites around Oscar season. 'Identity Thief' has been in theaters for less than two weeks and it's already grossed $76 million at the box office, an enormous amount for a modestly budgeted comedy with a known but untested leading lady. Although critics haven't been as kind as audiences, $100 million is a sure thing at this point and we wouldn't rule out $150 million if March is kind to it. So of course Universal has already thought about an 'Identity Thief 2.' They probably thought about it two weeks ago.
We love movies as much as the next guy, but let's face it -- there are far too many out there to keep straight. We're fortunate, then, that the fine folks at Cool Material have created an A-Z list of the best flicks ever. Now if somebody could just update our Netflix queue for us, we'd be golden.
'Star Wars: Episode 7' is still in the early stages of development with J.J. Abrams just joining the team a few weeks ago. So what was one of J.J.'s first orders of business after signing on to direct the next 'Star Wars' film? Today we get word that Harrison Ford will return as Han Solo in 'Star Wars: Episode 7.'
Making an animated film is a long and sometimes tedious process. So it's no wonder that the artists who make these movies slip little in-jokes into their work to amuse themselves and sharp-eyed viewers
There was much fanboy rejoicing when is was learned that Lawrence Kasdan was on board to write a new 'Star Wars' spin-off movie and consult on 'Star Wars Episode 7.' After all, this is the man who wrote 'The Empire Strikes Back,' a movie that isn't just the best 'Star Wars' movie, but one of the best science fiction movies ever made. Although the full details of whatever Kasdan is working on (a Yoda movie? Young Han Solo?) are buried in an underground bunker somewhere, he recently spoke about his involvement in the new films.
