Toys of the 50′s, 60′s and 70′s Exhibit At The MN History Center Shatters Attendance Records

Remember these cute little bugs?  The Cootie Bug game was one of my favorites as a child, along with Parcheesi, Yahtzee and Life! (not a fan of Monopoly due to my crappy math ability, although it did teach me to make change).   But, everybody had their favorites.  "Toys" is a national traveling exhibit of toys making stop at the MN History Center and breaking attendance records.  They will take you back to your childhood and is something you're entire family will enjoy!

League of Women Voters Duluth Announce Candidate Forums

I think this is one of those years where it is confusing as to what each candidate stands for, what they are running on and who they are opposing. Most of the ads I see are telling you what the other does wrong. If I believe them, no one deserves to be in office.

I'm missing out on seeing some of my friends lately.  In fact, it may seem like I've dropped off the face of the earth.  Sometimes I don't return phone calls, sometimes I'll have to cancel meeting up with you, and some of my favorite social activities I never do anymore

24 Years Later, I’m Back To Being A Popcorn Salesman

It was 1990.  I joined (because my friends did) our local Cub Scout Pack.  I was in cub scouts for several years, and there are two things I vividly remember.  One day camping trip we went on, and selling a ton of popcorn.  I mean a ton!

He Conquers All That He Takes On, Brandon Moe Gets His Black Belt

Brandon Moe is one of my heros. He has set some lofty goals for himself and has taken them on and conquered them. He came back from the State meet for Special Olympics with medals for weight lifting. He is someone that you don't say you can't do it, you say when are you going to do it.

My 30th Year in Review

Remember when you were a kid and you couldn't wait to grow up?  Getting older meant more freedom, and exciting new things.  Then one day that changes.  You start hoping time will slow down and the Birthdays keep coming faster and faster each year.   That's what today 31 feels like.  I blinked, and a year went by,  but then again a lot happened.

Why Was There A “Little Door” Installed At Essentia Health’s Erick Peter Person Children’s Cancer Center?

I had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Perko who is trained to work in Pediatric Oncology and Pediatric Hematology and get the answer to that question.  I also want to share information you and your family might not be aware of that will keep you at your job, in your community, with family and friends if your child should become sick.  All while still benefiting from the incredible research done at St. Jude!

Chris Allen’s My Life Series – The Story Behind Lynn Olmsted’s Tattoo

Lynn Olmsted is my Aunt, and Grandma Lynnie to my kids. I've been asking for your tattoos to show off and if you have a story, to share it. She recently got a tattoo, and it was quite the decision. My Grandpa Irv, her dad, didn't believe in getting pierced ears or tattoos, especially ladies.
