Name: Kristina and Ivan Dakovic

Story: Our love story started in March of 2011. I was 23 and he was 20. I was with a group of friends going to Perkins. When we were waiting for a table, a group of guys walked in that happen to know some people i was with. We ended up all sitting together, me sitting across from one guy named Ivan. We talked the whole time. Mainly just with each other. We instantly clicked and learned we had a lot in common. When everyone left Perkins that night, i was bummed because i didn't get his number. I thought, oh he's a college kid enjoying single life right now so ill let it be. Summer came and everyday i thought of him. I just had to see him again. When school started in the fall, our mutual friend got us together again. Turned out, he felt the same way. The night we got together was one ill never forget. Again, we talked all night. Found out we enjoyed the same hobbies and had similar interests. We connected instantly again that night. Time went on and we spent every day together. We both were busy with school and work but even if it was just for 2 minutes, we saw each other. I knew i was falling in love with him a few months later. I got butterflies every time i would see him. He treated me so well and we had so much fun together. He was the guy i wanted to marry and could see my life with. Turns out he felt the same and about a year later we were engaged. We had a long engagement but were married last November. He even agreed to get married during deer season! We bought a house this year and had a baby! This year has been a whirlwind for us but I wouldn't have wanted to spend it with anyone else. He is truly my best friend. I can say we both bring out the good and bad of each other, but the amazing thing is is we go to bed loving each other more than the day before. He will always be the hand that i hold, shoulder i cry on, chest i sleep on and heart that i can count on!
