Nick Cooper

I grew up in Central Minnesota, learning to enjoy all of what Minnesota has to offer - whether it be enjoying a good hot dish, heading into the great outdoors, or being let down by the Twins, Vikings, T-Wolves, and Wild (I can't help it, I'm a fan). I moved to Bemidji to attend Bemidji State University and get a degree in Mass Communications (I know, who goes to a 4-year school to get into radio, right?). Fast forward a few years and a couple jobs later, and here I am, doing what I love in the beautiful Duluth/Superior area!

After Collapsing On Its Own Earlier This Winter, Crews Had to Force the Superior Ice Project Down [VIDEO]

After collapsing in early February, creator Roger Hanson resurrected the ice project on Barkers Island in Superior for visitors to enjoy for several weeks. Undefeated Lakeville North Ends Duluth East’s Cinderella Run in 2015 Class AA Championship with 4-1 Win

The Greyhounds of Duluth East beat the odds multiple times through their incredible run to the 2015 Class AA Championship game. With the odds stacked agains them yet again, Lakeville North proved to be too much for the Hounds, winning 4-1 and staying a perfect 31-0 on the season.

Duluth East Upsets Edina 3-1 to Head to 2015 Class AA Championship Game

The Duluth East Greyhounds continued their run of upsets, defeating last year's champions 3-1 to advance to the 2015 Class AA boys hockey championship. Edina entered the game as a number 2 seed that has averaged over 5 goals a game this season, looking to make a repeat trip to the championship

The Duluth East Greyhounds opened their seventh straight State Boys Hockey Tournament appearance in thrilling fashion. The Hounds staged a three-goal rally in the third period and Ryan Peterson found the net in overtime to upset the Cadets of St. Thomas Academy in a 6-5 thriller.
