Found this on an article today from elitedaily.com.  Basically, the whole jist of the story is the CEO of Ambercrombie & Fitch, Jeffries, doesn't want fat kids wearing his clothes.  He's targeting the cool, popular, in shape, all American kids.  That's why you won't find XL and XXL sizes in his stores.   And women, no pants over the size of 10.

Kind of shocking, isn't it?  You can read the details and the rest of the story at elitedaily.com.

It boils down to the CEO of the company wanting the people to wear his clothing to be attractive, cool, and popular.  That's why he hires good looking people to work in his store.  (And most of them are dumb as a rock, forget if they have any customer service.)
