Wisconsin Sen. Jauch: ‘I feel a little like O.J. Simpson’

Really?  Comparing yourself to O.J. Simpson?  Probably could have picked someone else, ya think?  Not only that, he then compares the work they are doing to Jesus.  Probably the only time ever that someone has compared their personal experiences to both O.J and Jesus in the same interview.

Wisconsin’s 14 Democratic state senators are now somewhere in northern Illinois. Their plan is to keep the Republican majority in the Senate from passing Gov. Scott Walker’s budget repair measure that would severely limit collective bargaining of public employees.

State Sen. Bob Jauch of Poplar and 13 other senators left the state together after walking out of the Senate at 11 a.m. They intended to stick together, but two Democrats got lost.

“There are helicopters, reporters and apparently busloads of protesters to support us. I feel a little bit like O.J. Simpson.”

Jauch says they left the state to keep the Senate from having a quorum so people have more time to express themselves about the bill.

“We simply think that if God took seven days to create heaven and earth that maybe we can take a little time as well.”
