The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning, effective from 2 am Monday to 3 pm Monday.

Areas impacted by this warning include Duluth, Superior, Cloquet, Hinckley, Grantsburg, Spooner, the North Shore, and surrounding areas.

Snow will begin to spread in from the west-northwest overnight and into the area through the day Monday. The heaviest snowfall is expected to be in the morning hours of 7 am to 11 pm, making morning travel difficult.

4-8 inches of snow is expected to fall through the course of this snow. Due to temperatures near 32 degrees, snow will be wet and heavy, and will lead to slick roads. Blowing and drifting snow is also expected with this storm, cutting visibility to low levels at times.
