If you go to a Minnesota Wild game this upcoming season, you'll notice a new song blaring through the speakers of the Xcel Energy Center whenever the Wild score a goal.  It's a song chosen by season ticket holders to celebrate and honor Prince.

The Minnesota Wild announced today the team will change its goal song to Prince's "Let's Go Crazy!".   I think it's a perfect choice and it's sure to bring an great level of energy to the arena.

The Minnesota Wild decided to poll season ticket holders after the team played the song in the same manner during Game 6 of its Stanley Cup Playoff Series against the Dallas Stars on April 24.  The response in favor of the song change was overwhelming.

The first preseason home game for the Minnesota Wild is Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. when the team hosts the Colorado Avalanche.  The first home game of the regular season will be on Saturday, Oct. 15 against the Winnipeg Jets.
