Ok nerds, let get to talking.  Yesterday the over $4 billion purchase was announced that would give Disney rights and ownership to Lucas Films.  They are already planning a new trilogy with the first movie (tentatively titled episode 7) to hit theaters in 2015.  So far, all we know is that the trilogy will continue somewhat where episode 6 "Return of The Jedi" left off.  So does that mean we will need a new Luke, Princess Leia, and Han Solo?

It's a tough pill to swallow.  We have had the images of Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia burned into our brain, as well as Mark Hamill as Luke, and Harrison Ford as Han Solo.  I think the toughest to accept would be a new character for Han Solo, because Harrison Ford was pretty freaking awesome.

But who should play these characters in Episode 7?  (If they use the same characters, who knows?)  Here's what I think.

Luke Skywalker - Shia Lebeouf.  You'd need a younger actor that can play action parts, yet have softer features.  Shia is the first to come to mind.

Princess Leia - Jessica Beil.  She looks like a princess!  If only she could be enslaved by Jabba the Hutt so we could see her in that outfit.  Even though Jabba would be dead by this time, maybe a new villian would have a taste for sexy slaves.

Han Solo - Robert Downey Junior.  Handsome, quick witted, kind of a smart ass, perfect for Han Solo.  The only draw back?  Robert is on the older part of playing Han Solo.  So if we are looking for young blood, my second choice would be Chris Hemsworth of THOR.  He's got the look.

Lando Calrissian - Will Smith.  I mean it's Will Smith, he can play anything. Lando was a cool dude, and how can you get any cooler than Will Smith.
