Cathy and I were talking about the Walmarts in the Northland and how some have better selection in some departments, compared to others.  So what's the difference between the stores?

I've found that the Superior Walmart generally has a pretty solid stock and selection. There has been very few times where I haven't found a sale item in Superior.  Cathy agrees with me because she runs into that problem at the Hermantown Walmart.  Perhaps there is a higher volume, but she's said that the shelves sometimes get empty.  Also the Superior Walmart is easy to access and has plenty of parking.  That's always a plus.

I would say the Hermantown Walmart has a much better selection of produce and groceries.  With taking to a few others too, it seems like the traffic flow in and out of that store is rough at best.

I haven't spent much time in the Cloquet Walmart, so I could use some input on that one, but for the most part it seems to have quite a bit to offer.

This last weekend I visited the Virginia-Mountain Iron Walmart and I was very impressed.  It's a super walmart with everything I've seen at other stores, plus a liquor store.  The store was very clean, plenty of product, and a great selection in the market place.  After talking with some friends that still live in town, they said the hope was it would attract some Canadian customers that usually would drive to Duluth for their shopping.

So what do you think, Walmart shoppers?
