What's your New Year's Resolution?  Are you going to work out more?  Eat healthier?  Quit smoking?  My resolution isn't very traditional, but I think it's something that a lot of people can relate to.  It has to do with eating healthier, spending wisely, and saving time all in one resolution.

Here it is.  My resolution is to quit making quick trips to the grocery store and actually plan out and shop for the entire week.  I know for a fact that this will save money in gas for trips to the store, and each time I go I grab a few more snack items that we don't really need.

The problem is I've gotten lazy on the weekends.  I don't want to leave the house and go shopping on Sunday.  Then on Monday, the last thing any of us want to do is go shopping for a cart full of groceries after work, so I end up picking up something for that night.  Then I go again on Tuesday and may get a few things for the next couple of days.  I end up going to the grocery store 4 times or more a week.  That's nuts!

If we can stick to a budget for groceries for a full week and just go once, we'll save a ton!  I can also plan out coupon shopping and look for deals.  I'm hoping it will lead to a healthier meal plan and more healthy snacks around the house.

Wish me luck!  And good luck to you with whatever you are changing in 2018!
