I have seen footage of a ghost walking in one of the trains at the Depot. People swear it's haunted, but by whom. Who knows who has come through the Depot looking for a better life, or worked there and died there.

The St. Louis County Historical Society is now giving tours in the dark, with a flashlight. The guided tours will lead visitors through the historic and, some would allege, haunted Depot.

According to a press release by the St. Louis Historical Society , the tour will be on February 27th, 28th, and March 13, with the flashlights going out first at 8:45 p.m. and the last tour starts at 10:15 p.m. Each 45 minute tour starts and ends in the Great Hall of the Depot building. Tickets are $15 for general admission and $12 for students with valid ID presented at the door. There will be a cash bar to partake in liquid spirits while tour guides share personal stories of spirits, before and after tours. For more information call 218-733-7500.

Over 120 years ago the Depot saw thousands of immigrants arrive, seeking a new life in the boomtown of Duluth or the mines and forests of Northern St. Louis County.  See the thousands and thousands of artifacts on display that may hold the spirits.Who knows how many people may be hanging around and lurking in the shadows. Hear their stories, that is if you’re not afraid of the dark.

The next session is Friday the 13th with a night of history, mystery and intrigue as you walk where thousands walked before. See the Depot in a new light and let the stories grounded in historical fact come to life as the stories of unexplained ghostly visitors are detailed by trained tour guides.

Children are not encouraged to take the tour.
