With 2016 coming to an end, Estately has come out with a list that picks out what each state googled the most in the past year. Minnesota's most googled phrase will not surprise most people.

To no one's surprise, the Minnesota musical icon Prince was searched more by people in Minnesota than any other state. Prince passed away on April 21st, 2016 at his Paisley Park residence at the age of 57. Estately.com also listed Black Lives Matter and Philando Castile as other things that Minnesotans searched for more than other states.

Other highlights around the Midwest include North Dakota being big fans of the 2016 movie Dirty Grandpa and Wisconsin getting some info on the Chairman of the RNC Reince Priebus.

On the West Coast, California is asking '2016 worst year ever?'. One could argue that after the string of celebrity deaths recently (including Carrie Fisher, who passed away this week).

The winner on the East Coast has to go to Rhode Island, which looked up Harambe more than any other state. Harambe was the gorilla that made national headlines after getting put down when a kid fell into his pit at the Cincinnati Zoo. The zoo has even dedicated a page on their website for frequently asked questions about it.
