The Wabegon Bar & Grill has a customer appreciation party every year and this year they decided to make it count for the kids of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  The owner, Paul had tried to do a pasta feed to raise money in the past, but the flood of 2012 cancelled that event.  This first year event was well received and raised a lot of money.

The customer appreciation party was fun filled with a pig roast, poker and food, but the highlight of the  day was a 26.2 yard interstate race for St. Jude.  Yup, just 26.2 YARDS, a race that most can do.  When we say interstate, it's because it crossed the state line of MN and WI.  It raised $900 and we look forward to the Wabegon's check present at the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Radiothon in 2017.  They hope to increase their numbers at their next customer appreciation party.  Sonja, Wabegon's manager tells us more about this year's event and congratulates the winner of the 26.2 yard race while owner Paul, accepts their thank you plaque from the kids of St. Jude.
