Volunteers Needed for Grandma’s Marathon; 1,000 Positions Still Available
The amazing Northland tradition is just over one month away! If you have always wanted to experience Grandma’s Marathon but running just isn’t for you, then volunteering is the perfect solution.
About 1,000 positions remain for next month’s marathon events – scheduled for June 20-22. Join the Grandma’s Marathon volunteer team and help make the race’s 37th annual celebration an event to remember.
Volunteer positions include areas such as traffic and spectator control, water station assistance, medical services, course entertainment, race packet pick-up and finish area activities.
Service organizations, large groups and individuals are all welcome and encouraged to participate. Each volunteer receives an official T-shirt, refreshment tickets and an invitation to the Grandma’s Marathon Volunteer Party on Sunday, June 30 at Grandma’s Sports Garden.
“This event would not be possible without the terrific help we receive from our thousands of dedicated volunteers. We are so appreciative of the tremendous support we receive from the community members,” said Scott Keenan, executive director of Grandma’s Marathon.
