Vikings Remind Fans of NFL’s Enhanced Public Safety Policy Regarding Bags
With the first Minnesota Vikings preseason game set to kick off Friday night, the team reminds fans heading to any NFL game (preseason, regular season, post-season) of a security policy put in place last season regarding bags brought into stadiums around the league.
This league-wide policy about what fans can bring into NFL games was enacted for the 2013-2014 season, and continues again this year.
- Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12.” (Official NFL team logo clear plastic tote bags are available through club merchandise outlets or at nflshop.com), or
- One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
- Clutch bags no larger than 4.5” x 6.5”, with or without a handle or strap, may be carried into the stadium along with one of the clear bag options.
- An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate designated for this purpose.
Prohibited items include backpacks, fanny packs, luggage, seat cushions, purses larger than a clutch bag, computer bags, camera bags, or any other bag larger than the permissible size. Addititional information about the policy can be found at NFL.com/allclear.
