With the first Minnesota Vikings preseason game set to kick off Friday night, the team reminds fans heading to any NFL game (preseason, regular season, post-season) of a security policy put in place last season regarding bags brought into stadiums around the league.

This league-wide policy about what fans can bring into NFL games was enacted for the 2013-2014 season, and continues again this year.

  • Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12.” (Official NFL team logo clear plastic tote bags are available through club merchandise outlets or at nflshop.com), or
  • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
  • Clutch bags no larger than 4.5” x 6.5”, with or without a handle or strap, may be carried into the stadium along with one of the clear bag options.
  • An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate designated for this purpose.

Prohibited items include backpacks, fanny packs, luggage, seat cushions, purses larger than a clutch bag, computer bags, camera bags, or any other bag larger than the permissible size. Addititional information about the policy can be found at NFL.com/allclear.
