With the Minnesota Vikings preparing to open their new stadium in a few years, there are still major financial obligations to put into place and they received great news from the league this week.

StarTribune.com is reporting that the Vikings gained approval for the league’s G4 financing program, a plan that enables franchises building new stadiums to receive what is essentially a fully guaranteed loan from the league.

The Vikings, who are in line to be contributing $477 million toward their new stadium, expect to receive the maximum allotted $200 million worth of G4 financing from the NFL.

That amount will ultimately be repaid over 15 years.

Now, let's break ground on this bad boy and get building!
