If my electricity or water service is going to be affected, I always like to know ahead of time (gotta have a shower in the morning!).  Here's an early warning from the City of Duluth to those affected by a RESCHEDULED break in water service to neighborhoods in the Woodland area, next Tuesday.

Residents in the northern area of the Woodland neighborhood will experience temporary water disruption on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 in order for City of Duluth Utility Operations crews work to replace water valves and a hydrant.

The water shutdown is planned from about 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Residents were notified of a water shutdown scheduled for this week but that has now been rescheduled to the new date of December 13.

Homes and businesses located on the following streets will be impacted:

Allendale Street (north of Austin St.)

Woodland Ave (north of Hubbell St. up to Pleasant View Road)

Hubbell Street

Vassar Street

Claymore Street

Frederick Street

Heather Ave

Lochaire Ave (south of Pleasant View Rd.)

Bel Aire Ave

Water service will be restored once repairs are complete. The repair is needed to address aging

infrastructure and improve water service to meet emergency needs.
