The DTA Transportation Center was closed on Monday, April 25 for construction on Michigan Street.  They had expect the closure to last about 30 days, but it took a bit longer.  The wait is over and it's opening this Saturday, July2.

Michigan Street was in need of utility repairs, electrical, gas, water and steam upgrades.  That impacted the Duluth Transportation Center and it had to close.  The DTA was still up and running, transit riders just had to catch their bus at a different location.

According to Heath Hickok, Director of Marketing at the DTA, starting this Saturday, July 2, they will return to regular bus routes and operations.  If you boarded the bus at their temporary location in the 200 block of West Superior Street, please note that will now be discontinued.  For those of us that utilized the sky walk between Superior Street the new Duluth Transit Center, they will now be open again too!

If you're attending festivities in downtown Duluth for the 4th of July holiday, remember, you can park in the new Duluth Transit Center.
