After the All Star Game, the Minnesota Twins started cold which lead to upper management to trading off valuable talent with the thought of rebuilding for the future.  Funny thing is, nobody told players like Eddie Rosario that they were supposed to give up on this season.

The Minnesota Twins are on a hot streak, putting them right in the middle of the playoff race and Rosario is a big reason why.  His efforts have paid off as Major League Baseball has named him the American League Player Of The Week.

According the MLB.com, Rosario went 12-for-27 (.444 average) with four home runs and nine RBIs over the seven-day stretch. He hit a game-tying double and manufactured the winning run in Minnesota's 5-4 win over Milwaukee on Aug. 7, then clubbed two home runs the following day. Overall, Rosario collected four multi-hit games last week, raising his slash line to an impressive .296/.337/.503 in the process.

The Twins now prepare for a pivotal 3-game series against the division leading Cleveland Indians, which starts Tuesday at Target Field.
