Travel Alert: I-35 Lane Closures Scheduled For Next Tuesday And Wednesday

Almost everyone I know uses the I-35 corridor to get from one end of the city to the other in their daily travels.  I know, even if I warn you (and I am included), you will forget and travel near the closure area.  But, probably only once!!  For those of you with a better memory than I, here are the days and lanes you should shy away from next Tuesday and Wednesday.

Motorists on Interstate 35 near 27th Avenue West in Duluth will encounter lane and ramp closures on Tuesday, August 28, and Wednesday, August 29, while crews smooth the pavement by grinding-off bumps.

Here's the specific details:

Tuesday, August 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

· The southbound right-turn lane on the I-35/Ore Dock Bridge located south of 27th Avenue West will close.

Tuesday, August 28 late-afternoon or Wednesday, Aug. 29

· The ramp from southbound I-35 to southbound I-535 will close for several hours.

· The ramp from northbound I-35 to southbound I-535 will close for several hours.
