It's become a tradition for some, whether it's spectating, running, volunteering or even walking.  Why not be part of Northern Minnesota's Oldest Road Race~the Park Point 5 Miler.  It's absolutely awesome running the Point, so picturesque and if you get too hot, you can just take a dip in Lake Superior! You can still sign up the day of the race!

It's the 44th annual and it's tomorrow, Friday, July 17.  The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with youth races for children 14 and under, followed by the five-mile feature race at 6:30 p.m., and then the two-mile walk at 6:35 p.m, which will entail a new race course.  Race-day registration is $35 for both the run and the walk. The youth races are free.  Stick around for the Award Ceremony (At the Park Point Pavilion following completion of the five-mile run).  Runners and walkers can find more information at grandmasmarathon.com.

Oh, and remember, the net proceeds from the Park Point 5-Miler benefit the Young Athletes Foundation (YAF) which is a Grandma’s Marathon program focused on the promotion and development of youth athletics.
