If you see people out wearing orange today, odds are they are participating in the Hunger Action Day.  Today I spoke with Katie Hagglund, Marketing Coordinator for Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank about those who struggle with hunger in the Northland.

There are quite a few people who utilize the food bank, and more people are unsure of where their next meal is coming from than you would expect.  They are urging people to wear orange today as it is the national color of hunger awareness.

Of course you can help those people in need by donating money to the Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank.  They are experts at stretching a dollar according to Katie, and they can do more with monetary donations than with grocery donations.  So please, take a moment to donate by visiting the link below.
