The Minnesota Timberwolves fell the to the Los Angeles Clippers 101-96 Wednesday night, finishing their trip out west at 1-3.  Kevin Love is still playing into shape and as the 'Wolves struggle to get consistent point guard play, they received some great news in regards to star guard Ricky Rubio.

StarTribune.com is reporting that Ricky Rubio's knee surgeon Wednesday cleared him to participate with no limitations in contact practices, a decision that could have the popular point guard back playing games by the second week of December.

The Timberwolves entered the season hoping to make the playoffs, but injuries have prevented them from a fast start.  Getting Rubio back will certainly be a boost to both the teams play as well as their psyche.

Having been forced this week to sit Andrei Kirilenko with back spasms, this team just needs to linger at .500 until all their pieces are on the court and begin to gel.  Then I think a low seed playoff birth is a possibility.
