This Week is the Unofficial Beginning of Irresponsible Firework Usage For The Next 2 Months in Your Neighborhood

You know what makes fireworks special?  Seeing them a couple times a year.  You know what makes them annoying?  When jackasses in your neighborhood set them off every night from the last week of June until September.

Yesterday it started off with some kids in our alley shooting bottle rockets.  That doesn't bother me so much, but it does get old.

The acceptable days to shoot fireworks off are the following:   The weekend before 4th of July, July 3-5, and the following weekend.   That's it.

Finding a box of unexploded mortar shells in the end of July should just be kept for next year.  (They don't spoil that quick.)

So I'll just have to go back to putting earplugs in so I can fall asleep on a Tuesday night.  Argh.
