To be perfectly honest, I didn't really have much of an idea of what was going on in Syria until the whole Syrian Refugee debate blew up on social media. Everyone is weighing in on whether or not we should allow refugees into the United States. I think that it's important to understand what exactly is happening in Syria. Knowledge is power, and without knowing what is going on, you can't make an educated opinion.

This video does a good job explaining what is going on. However you may need to watch it a couple times and take notes. It's that big of a mess.
