Hard to believe that we are just over a week away from the Minnesota State Fair.  If you plan on attending this year, plan on bringing an extra dollar for a lot of things, including admission prices.

State Fair General Manager Jerry Hammer says that regular admission prices haven't increased in four years.  Furthermore, all increased costs are being put in place to cover the ever-climbing operating costs of the fair to keep the event “the Great Minnesota Get Together and not the Pretty Good Minnesota Get Together”.

According to the Pioneer Press, regular admission at the gate for adults, kids and seniors will be up $1 from last year.
Parking in Minnesota State Fair lots is also increasing by $1.  If you want to hit the Midway and enjoy some rides, prices are up to $25 for a sheet of 30 tickets.  Last year, a sheet of 28 tickets went for $20.The question is, can you really put a price tag on fun?  Enjoy the Minnesota State Fair!
