Taylor Swift Tops Billboard Year-End Charts

Taylor Swift is the top country artist of the year, according Billboard magazine. The annual lists of year-end charts were just revealed, and Swift leads in many country categories, including album sales, downloads and tour revenue. She also ranks amongst the most played country artists of 2011.
Otherwise, Eli Young Band‘s ‘Crazy Girl’ was named the top country song of 2011, followed by Jake Owen‘s ‘Barefoot Blue Jean Night’ and Rodney Atkins ‘Take a Back Road.’ These rankings are based on radio airplay.
Jason Aldean was second on the list of top country artists, followed by Lady Antebellum, Zac Brown Band and Blake Shelton. Rounding out the Top 10 are the Band Perry, Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley and Luke Bryan.
Swift’s ‘Speak Now’ album ranked No.2 on the all-genre chart, just behind Adele‘s ’21.’ Overall, Swift is ranked No. 8 on the all-genre list of artists of the year. Yes, the year has certainly been kind to Swift, who also recently took home awards for CMA Entertainer of the Year and American Music Awards Artist of the Year.
