The awesome Tall Ships are coming back to the Northland and we're going to give you lots of time to invite friends and family to town to enjoy them.  Here's the details, SAVE THE DATE!

The biggest Tall Ships(tm) event in Duluth’s history is scheduled for July 24-30, 2013, encompassing Duluth’s Waterfront, Bayfront Festival Park and Harbor Drive, announced Karen Pionk, Chairperson of Visit Duluth, Duluth’s official destination marketing organization and producer of the event.

“While it may be difficult for some to imagine a Tall Ship(tm) festival larger than 2010, with over 225,000 visitors and nine Tall Ships, we are planning an even bigger event for 2013. We’ll feature something for everyone; on board tours, day-sails and expanded hours for dockside tours. We’ll have a full complement of vendors, artisans, music, reenactments and entertainment,” added Pionk.

“We are currently negotiating with several ships and will announce the names of which ships will be coming to Duluth as well as ticket availability and other pertinent details in the coming months,” says Visit Duluth President & CEO, Terry Mattson. “Fans will want to keep an eye on Visit Duluth’s facebook page www.facebook.com/visitduluth to get the latest information and to register for a chance to win two tickets for a day sail aboard one of the Tall Ships,” added Mattson.

Tall Ships(tm) Duluth 2010 was the single largest event in the region’s history with an estimated direct economic impact of $15 million in addition to millions of dollars of worldwide publicity.
