My husband and I have a wood burner so we are very conscious of where we can get the wood we burn.  We found that there are certain counties in Wisconsin that won't allow the transport of wood across county lines due to gypsy moths and the emerald ash borer beetle.  There was an emergency quarantine on Park Point last year that prompted the City to open a brush drop off site for Park Point residents.  Now that it's Spring they will be offering the service again.

Last October there was evidence of emerald ash borer (EAB) beetle found in trees on Park Point in Duluth.  An emergency quarantine went into effect until February for Park Point prompting a brush drop off site for Park Point residents.  That is now temporarily closed.

The City of Duluth Makes Street Tree Planting Affordable by Sharing the Cost with Residents to Expand the Urban Forest
