This Saturday at Superior Middle School the Taste of Home Cooking School returns to the Twin Ports. Culinary expert Karen Davis will be in town to share tips and recipes at this unique interactive event. We got a chance to sit down with Karen and get more information about this weekend's school and more.

People have this misconception that if you're a guy, you probably don't cook.  Well in our house I do 90% of the cooking.  I'm kind of a Mr. Mom except I can't fold laundry to save my life.  So when Taste Of Home Cooking School comes to town, I pay attention and learn a few things.  Here's some things that have helped me in the kitchen that I learned at the traveling cooking school.  I've learned

Before you wrinkle your nose, I want you to know I'm not a big fan of candy corn either, but, this Taste of Home seasonal recipe's flavor will surprise you!  It has a Tex-Mex flavor and there's NO candy corn in it!  It's just gives you a plate presentation idea to make your snack festive...fooled ya!

  Seems like everyone I talk to is excited for Fall.  Those of us that like it 80 and humid are a little sad, but I'm happy to know that fall cooking and baking is acceptable. (I make chili in July and get looked at like I'm nuts)  The Apple festival is weeks away and the Duluth Lions Club are selling apples as a fundraiser.  Here's a great Taste of Home recipe to help use your surplus of apples.
