August 15, 2011 I am FAMOUS for my zucchini bread..however, when I am serving it to a first time zucchini bread eater...I just call it "sweet bread", until they tell me how absolutely delicious it is and couldn't possible go on without another slice!!!
I don't know why people have a phobia of zucchini. Personally, I don't think it really has a taste at all...I think people get freaked out because it starts with a "Z" and it's green....here's a great recipe from Taste of Home to turn their opinion around....easy and yummy!
August 11, 2011 Remember push-ups? (not a female undergarment)...I'm talking that orange-vanilla flavored ice cream on a plastic stick that you pulled through a brightly colored, cardboard cylinder?
I'm not a fan, but my husband is fanatic about orange flavored anything! I will be trying this recipe, this week-end and BOY, is HE excited!!! It has ice cream in it, so it's cool and refreshing and can be made ahead of time, so it's perfect if you are planning to entertain!
July 27, 2011 We had wanted to go somewhere "beachy" when I'm on vacation next week...but late plans and no fun money, lead us to bring the "beach" to our humble home....thanks to Taste of Home, we'll be enjoying these Jamaican Jerk Turkey Wraps on our unfinished (sorry, Homie) deck. July 20, 2011 When it's THIS hot, (92 today)...it's hard to find something to make in your kitchen that wouldn't raise the temp in your house another few degrees....plus, you've heard your family say, "when it's this hot, I'm just not that hungry". Taste of Home has you in mind. Here's something simple and easy to make, that's yummy and light....you're family will LOVE it!
June 30, 2011 The taste of this salad is incredible! I was leery...a vinaigrette on strawberries? Surprisingly yummy!!! And extremely healthy and calorie free, especially when I substituted Splenda for the sugar. One note....we were planning on skipping the green onions because I was lazy....but, in the end, I didn't and you shouldn't either...it enhanced the flavor, perfectly!
June 27, 2011 THERE ARE PEANUT BUTTER CUPS IN THESE S'MORES!!! Need I say "smore"? I am SOOOOO going to try this during our 4th of July camping trip...(shhh, not telling anyone else...), so when they whip out their ingredients to make the usual s'mores...I'm going to secretly whip these up and BAM! Knock their socks off! And, it's easy....they only thing I'll have to worry about.....is rain!
April 20, 2011 Ok, sneak a bottle of Guinness from the pack and get ready for a delicious dessert! If they complain, tell them they can have their beer and EAT IT TOO! I LOVE Taste of Home, they always have the super simple and very yummy recipes to share!
