Space Invaders To Be Made Into A Movie?
July 10, 2011 Will you see a 'Space Invaders' movie? Hollywood appears to be running thin on ideas. First it was announced that they are remaking such 80's fare as 'Red Dawn' and 'Footloose' (after much success with a 'Karate Kid' reboot). Then it was announced the board game(!) Battleship is becoming a motion picture. Now another 80's video game looks to be ready to get the big screen treatment. I would have preferred Joust or Missile Command, but Space Invaders could be coming soon to theaters. I hope the movie is more than a bunch of aliens in a neat row attacking while someone shoots them from below, which was the game.
