May 4, 2013 Last Friday morning we learned that we had lost an iconic voice in country music. A legend whose career spanned 5 decades. Country Music Hall of Famer, George Jones had passed at age 81. Since that morning, we have learned the cause of his death.

It was a release from their the bands self-titled album in 1987. The group had disbanded, but after their publicist read my blog, he contacted me and guess what? We had the opportunity to get to know Roy well when he hosted the nationally televised country variety show "Hee Haw" from 1962-1971, but continued in syndication for another 20 years. He has been an influence in Country music and his telegenic presence proved he is an all around entertainer.
