Snow Day

Taking a poll - do you think the kids will have school on Friday? YES -or- NO

Minnesota lawmakers are considering to put an end to snow days.  Most students, parents and teachers alike are probably shaking their heads.  But, it's not what you think, students won't be expected to brave the harsh elements, there's another plan in place and here's why I don't think it will work.

It's been a crazy morning here with this spring snow storm.  Cathy and I decided to step outside to assess the situation.

When I was young we only had snow days because of snow.  Now it can because of excessive snow or extremely cold temperatures.  Apparently they thought we were tough and could brave the cold in the 70's and 80's.  While students think a snow day is cool, parents on the other hand are faced with finding child care on short notice.  Despite what parents have to deal with, one school in central Minnes

Governor Walker recently signed a bill in legislation that no longer requires the mandatory 180 days a school year, which is good news for students hoping to get out of class sooner.  However, that means they will miss out on a previous day off.
