Grandma's Marathon caps the William A. Irvin 5K at 2,000 runners, a 100 runner increase from last year.  Will you be part of the pack?  Besides the Whippersnapper Races, this is the kick-off to Grandma's Marathon weekend.  WAY more than 2,000 people register for a bib number for this race, so mark your calendars for March 13, that's when registration opens for this popular race!

The Duluth YMCA has so many programs that your children would love and you will too!  Everything from Campfire Concerts to Swimming Lessons, in fact my daughter took her first swimming lessons at the Y at just 6 months old.  Exercise is important for kids and the Y has a running buddy program that will prepare your kids for fun at the Lake Superior Zoo!

Grandma's Marathon recently lost two of it's dedicated Board Members to Pancreatic Cancer.  To remember Don Fennessy and Kevin Peterson there will be a new additional race to the Grandma's Marathon line-up.   Come run along the beautiful shores of Lake Superior and join in the fight to help find a cure for this devastating disease.

Lake Superior Zoo Facebook page If Grandma's Half or full Marathon was a bit too far out of your comfort zone, then get ready to Run Like an Animal with the Lake Superior Zoo, or walk it if you want.  Add to the fun by dressing up!  The best part is that all is that the animals benefit from all the proceeds collected.

We are SO doing this!!!  If you are a runner AND a Minnesota Vikings fan, you have the opportunity to combine your two passions and participate in the Vikings Back to Football Run.  This is an opportunity that will prove to be both memorable and something you can cross off your bucket list.  Plus, there's a beer garden at the finish line! :)
