Not a great meeting for those in favor of a Minnesota Vikings stadium to keep the team in the state. I think everyone has the right to an opinion, as long as you take time to educate yourself. When you hear an argument like telling owner Zygi Wilf to build his own "playground" it makes you realize how misinformed the most opinionated people seem to be.
The Minnesota Vikings stadium proposal took a beating at a packed Ramsey County public hearing Wednesday night that would have knocked defensive lineman Kevin Williams on his back.

The drama that is the Minnesota Vikings stadium issue continues. Not long ago, there was an intriguing plan in place for an Arden Hills stadium site. However, the city council there wants to be heard regarding their opinion on a sales tax increase to fund it. The funny thing is they are all saying they are representing the people, but why not let the people vote on this very limited tax increase which would basically impact those who want to keep the Minnesota Vikings in Minnesota?

The St. Paul City Council appears set to unanimously vote Wednesday against a Ramsey County sales tax increase for a proposed Minnesota Vikings stadium in Arden Hills.

Although numerous council members had expressed reservations about the tax, the vote will be their first public stance.

Remember when the Minnesota North Stars left? The first thing the state did was put together a plan to get an NHL franchise back. If the Minnesota Vikings leave, that will happen again but there are no guarantees of the state getting another team nor would it be deserving of one if they lose the Vikings. The difference is right now the state and Vikings have an opportunity to work things out, if both sides sincerely want to. If they don't I believe we'll see the Minnesota Vikings move to L.A.

Minnesota Vikings owners and Gov. Mark Dayton emerged from a summitmeeting Tuesday pledging to try to plug by Friday a funding hole of up to $131 million in the team's proposed new $1 billion Arden Hills home.

That hole appeared no smaller after Dayton reiterated
