You don't have to be a runner to experience the excitement of Grandma's Marathon. I NEED YOU! So does countless thousands of other full and half marathon runners. Volunteer your time at this year's Grandma's Marathon, June 18! 1,000 positions are still available. There are a variety of things to do and believe me....you, your family, and friends that join you are VERY appreciated by the marathon participants. The weather forecast for this Saturday, April 16, is calling for cold temps and snow. Not exactly ideal for the 22nd Annual Fitger's 5K Run/Walk, but the race, like the postal service, will go on despite the weather.....unless there's lightning. There is a record 1, 739 participants this year, a few wanting to be in the top 10, but most using this as training for Grandma's Marathon or the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon coming up in June.
