Cathy and I were talking about this guy today. He's a chef who after moving to America from Italy gained a ton of weight. Because of health concerns, he decided to eat his own pizza creation to lose weight. AND IT WORKED! He lost 101 pounds in 7 months. But there's a catch.
Our family is pretty big into take n bake pizza's. We like to save a little money, but still get a good quality pizza. I've been doing a lot of shopping at the ALDI store in Superior, and I thought it was time to try their cheap take n bake pizzas.
Options for dining out in the Duluth Superior area have expanded a lot recently, with big players like Chipotle and Dunkin Donuts coming into the Twin Ports. Now a report suggests another chain may be looking to open in Duluth.
Frozen pizzas. They are probably the easiest meal out there. From bachelors to hard working moms (and dads like myself) they make for a quick easy meal. That was the case tonight. I wanted a quick easy meal, but I didn't want the same old boring frozen pizza. At the suggestion of a friend, I went out to buy a couple of Lotzza Motzza pizza's made by Brew Pub.
We've been talking about the health benefits of olive oil and the reason why Rustic Olive's olive oil stands out above the rest with flavor and freshness. But, they also offer another flavor sensation, Balsamic Vinegars. Andy from the Rustic Olive shared a recipe using Smoked Traditional Balsamic Vinegar that will have your family asking for more!
While we were filming Q an A Buffet, I had the opportunity to watch a Pizza being made, which I thought was kind of interesting. I know how to make a Pizza but to watch someone that does it for a living was quite fun.
Whenever Matt and I get together we talk about food, so this time was no different. We got together at Do North Pizza to talk Pizza, Food, and a cool Dessert. The owner, who claimed he was camera shy, keeps appearing on camera.
Yesterday it was about 85 degrees outside, and about 78 degrees inside. I was craving pizza, but I didn't want to pay $700 for delivery. (Ok maybe not that much...) I also didn't want to heat up the house with the oven, so I grabbed a couple of Jack's Pizza's from the freezer. I was a little nervous to throw them on the grill, but decided to chance it.
Ok, they aren't that pretty and my co-host Ken would NOT approve because there is no meat. But, after my husband's doctor said we should be eating more fruits and veggies, I thought I'd give it a shot. Although, the credit for this healthy alternative to pizza has to go to the makers of Ragu Pizza Sauce.
