Downtown Duluth Public Parking Ramp Gets New Concrete Starting Monday, October 8

If you work downtown Duluth and park in the East Superior Ramp, you need to read this blog. The construction is slated to begin Monday, October 8 and last a little over a week for the repair, then another week for cleaning. It will still be open, but there won't be as many spaces available. Be prepared to find another place to park until the construction is over. Here's the skinny.

Downtown Duluth Parking Ramp Will Be Closing For Repair
April 16, 2012 It isn't going to happen until next month, but I wanted to give y'all time to find an alternative parking location. The parking ramp next to the Depot on West Michigan Street is closing for repair. I worked downtown Duluth for a few months and was lucky that the company I worked for, paid for my parking in a ramp. If they hadn't done that, I'm not sure where I would have been parking, or how much it would have cost.

Christmas City Of The North Parade Parking And Traffic Information
November 18, 2011 Christmas City, wonderful city....From The City Of Duluth Police Department, here are traffic and parking information for the Friday evening event:
On Friday, November 18, 2011, the 53rd AnnualChristmasCity of the North Parade will be held on Superior Street in Downtown Duluth starting at 6:20 p.m.
The parade route will be the same as last year. Parade units will assemble on Railroad Street. The parade will travel east on Railroad Street to Lake Avenue, North across the Lake Avenue Viaduct, then turn west on Superior Street to the termination point at 5th Avenue West.
Traffic diversions will start at 2:00p.m.

July 5, 2011 If traffic camera go in every major city, do you think that would be fair? Well, there are two schools of thought. 1...you shouldn't be speeding or going through red lights anyway, if you were driving according to the law, you would never get a ticket. 2....there's that part of you that feels like you are getting away with something when no one is around. There are rumours this would be a way for states to raise their traffic revenue and avoid shutdowns....eh hem...Minnesota...with out raising taxes.
