Yesterday my wife and I went and met our obstetrician for the first time, and got to hear the heartbeat. It didn't sound like anything I thought it would!

My wife and I broke the news yesterday that we are expecting a baby due in late October. Because the first trimester is over and the risk of miscarriage greatly reduces, we decided it was time to share the exciting news. However, it's been tough keeping it a secret. There's also some other tough parts those first three months, like dealing with hormones.
1. Your wife may not be the same person for a while.
The day a teen gets his or her own iPhone is usually one of the happiest of their youth. They're finally seen as responsible, semi-independent individuals. However, this 13-year-old, whose mother decided to attach her own 18-point agreement of rules and guidelines in exchange for the phone, might have reason to look for happier days.
Sometimes we just want to conk out in the middle of the day. You know what we’re talking about -- that 5-Hour Energy jerk made a fortune talking about it. You so desperately want to take a cat nap, but your so-called "job" doesn't provide you with a bed OR a pillow. Good news -- Ostrich Pillow's got ya covered.
Last night my wife and our 4 year old were playing a board game and something timely with the Olympics happened.. She actually won the game. It should be noted that the extent of this game is spinning a wheel and moving spaces - it's for a four year old
Let's start this off by saying I didn't really get much sleep last night because of something that happens once in a while in our house. In the past 6 months a pretty scary thing for a parent has been occurring with our 4 year old. They're called Night Terrors and only happen to 1%-6% of people.
It seems every few years new theories come out about the best way to raise children, some of which go against what was previously believed to be a best practice. I've never been a fan of letting kids "cry it out" at night, but that is because I don't have the strength to let my kids cry for me for very long before I want to comfort them. Now it looks as though some experts thinks it's best to provide that comfort.
If the link between parent and child is strong enough that kids can "catch" their parents' stress, it may stand to reason that babies crave the physical connection that comes with a cuddle.
In the first study of its kind, researchers compared the testosterone level of men when they were single and childless to their testosterone level after they had had a child.
While testosterone always decreases when men age, the decline was much more pronounced among the men who had become fathers.
Seriously? Do we really need to read a book on how to roughhouse with our children? Apparently so. They also have seminars that teach parents how to roughhouse with their children.
Doesn't it just come naturally? I was bouncing our boy off the couch before he could even walk
If this passes in Florida, would it be all that surprising to see it spread to other states in America. What do you think, would you like to be graded? How would you do?
