While the fledgling National Collegiate Hockey Conference has awaited a word from Notre Dame about joining for the league’s debut in 2013-14, it appears the conference has two additions — St. Cloud State and Western Michigan of Kalamazoo, Mich.

UMD Beats Notre Dame, Advances To Title Game
April 7, 2011 Go Bulldogs! It went down the wire in a game that started fast, with 5 of the goals being scored in the first period. In the end, UMD prevailed 4-3 over the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame and will play for the national championship Saturday night.
