The Waldorf Method has been around for awhile, which encourages more creative play in developmental years and a more free flowing approach to educating kids in hopes to let every child learn while maintaining individuality. This educational method is now available in the Northland.
While it's nice to end summer with warm weather and sunshine, the downside is that the latest dry weather streak puts our area at a high fire risk. Add windy conditions, which are expected this week, and things get especially risky.
This is an intersection I've had first hand experience with, spending a large part of my life living in that area. I agree that the Kenwood Avenue and Arrowhead Road intersection needs to be improved as it can be a nightmare and dangerous.
We've been on a roll in the Northland with new companies looking at the area with new jobs. Too bad a step backwards will be taken with the closure of the Duluth Georgia Pacific facility at the end of August.
