The Last Place On Earth has been in and out of the news a lot, but recently there hasn't been much in terms of what role the federal government might play in restricting what products can be sold from the popular head shop.  That all changed today.

It has been an incredibly painful past several days for the country with the tragedy in Connecticut.  I don't think I've gone an entire day since the story broke without tearing up at some point.  I know I'm not alone as the rest of the Northland recently came together to pay tribute to the victims.

Bentleyville has been in the news lately as two area men have fought to preach inside the popular tourist attraction.  Well, it turns out that that the publicity these proceedings have received may backfire as one of these so called "preachers" is a registered sex offender.

Last night we shared a report of an evacuation of Fryberger Arena in Duluth, with Carbon monoxide poisoning suspected in several people at the venue.  To update the story, it does appear that those suspicions proved true.

Today is election day and while the presidency has been the most popular debate, there are plenty of things on the ballot that will probably have greater immediate impact for those in the Northland.

It was 10 years ago when a plane crash in northern Minnesota claimed the lives of Paul Wellstone as well as family members and staffers.  Today, the Northland gathered to remember the man and what he stood for.
