I've talked about how The Office has run it's course last year, and about how the show needed to be wrapped up. Let me just say that "The Office" is my favorite TV show and I've loved every season of it. It is the only show that weekly has made me laugh out loud. And tomorrow, we say goodbye. At 8:46 a.m. on Tuesday, September 11, most national news outlets took a break from their regular programming to air a special "moment of silence" from New York City and Washington D.C. to honor the victims of 9/11. We say "most" because, as it turns out, not everyone was a participant. This really saddens me, but I can't live in denial any longer. I think it's time we say goodbye to the office, much like a loving dog owner who has to put their old, sick, dying dog down. The thought of even doing it gives you a heavy heart. Sure we've had a lot of good years and laughs, but slowly we seem to just be limping along together.

And now for your daily dose of irony: ‘To Catch a Predator’ host Chris Hansen was allegedly caught cheating on his wife last week in Florida, the Daily Mail is reporting (via the National Enquirer).

According to the report, the 51-year-old host was recorded having a romantic dinner at the Ritz-Carlton in Manalapan Friday night with 30-year-old journalist Kristyn Caddell. The recording was all part of an undercover sting set up by the Enquirer.

CBS announced Sunday that is pulling the plug on the William Shatner vehicle '$#*! My Dad Says' after just one season.

The sitcom, which was based on the popular Twitter feed by Justin Halpern, debuted to strong ratings last fall, but stumbled as the season progressed. Critics' reviews, meanwhile, were less than kind.

Also getting the axe: the legal drama 'The Defenders' and the new comedy 'Mad Love,' co-starring Judy Greer.

Is NBC's long running morning news program 'Today' about to get a major facelift?

Over the past couple of days, news has circulated that hosts Matt Lauer and Meredith Vieira plan to leave the show when their contracts expire. Lauer in particular was at the center of Internet rumors today after reports claimed he had informed NBC executives of his departure, which would be in Dec. 2012.

However, NBC has since denied the reports, saying, "There seems to be an awful lot of speculation around news anchors these days, and it's not our practice to comment on any of it. Matt Lauer has a long-term contract with NBC News and TODAY."
