Quintana Roo is a state in Mexico on the Yucatan Peninsula and is one of the country's most visited thanks to the resorts along the Riviera Maya including the Hard Rock Hotel, the location of Feburary's Boots in the Sand, part of the Tropical Nights Festival...
Two of our Boots in the Sand artists celebrated their birthdays this week! Billy Currington, he turned 40 yesterday and today Dierks Bentley celebrated his 38th. Both of them, along with Brantley Gilbert and Jana Kramer will be heading to the Riviera Maya, Mexico in February. Wanna go?
Mexico. It's where you want to be. Let's face it -- getting your toes (or boots) in the sand while you sip margaritas in a tropical paradise is pretty much on everyone's "to-do" list. But it's not always easy to get there.
If you're like me you are on the chilled side most of the time. Your destination will be the white sandy beaches of Riviera, Maya Mexico and the temps will be tropical, however, the plane ride to your destination will be chilly. Plus, of course traveling in comfort is always a plus! Here's some suggestions:
While having Cinco de Mayo on a Sunday it not ideal, many will still get out and celebrate, even if it means a margarita at brunch. A lot of people did their celebrating Saturday night, but many do not know exactly what Cinco de Mayo is all about.
Perhaps Mexico is on to something here. I'm not a pig, hear me out. If this format was followed in the United States, perhaps our presidential debates would actually be watched by more people. It's a simple format, really. You have the candidates and you have a woman carry an urn that the candidates draw questions from.
With Cinco de Mayo just around the corner, we have Mexico on the brain. Perhaps this year, instead of celebrating the day with watered-down margaritas at your local Tex-Mex chain restaurant, you should start planning that trip to Mexico you’ve always talked about taking.
