If you're starting to tire of winter, a sure sign that warmer weather will eventually arrive is that Duluth golf season passes and Skyline passes are on sale now.
As I write this blog I am conscious of the fact that we might have accumulating snow fall before the weekend. However, the WDIO meteorologists say that it won't stick and golfers will definitely be able to take advantage of an extended season locally.
While it may be a bit too cold to golf this week, it's never too early to think about heading back out there. A couple of local golf courses are under new management and they want you to check them out.
The Duluth Lakeside liquor ban has been in effect since 1893. There was a vote to eliminate the ban in 2008, but it was defeated by just one vote. Now, with the Lester Park Golf Course struggling, conversations have begun to allow them to be exempt from the ban.
