Lee Brice doesn’t look anything like Kathie Lee Gifford, but the country singer is going to make his hosting debut filling in for Gifford on the ‘Today’ show alongside show host Hoda Kotb on Tuesday, March 20. Brice will co-host the fourth hour of the show with Kotb, as Gifford has the week off. While Brice may have some mad hosting skills (we’ll have to see), it’s likely he landed this spot because Kotb has been a fan of his since she put his 2010 hit ‘Love Like Crazy’ on her iHoda Playlist.

This week, Jerrod Niemann‘s bus caught fire, and he says it was the ‘Woman Like You’ singer who got his attention and made sure everyone was off the bus before an explosion that would have ripped through the cabin.

Over the weekend (Saturday, Jan. 21), Lee Brice was the latest country star to fall victim to an unexpected bus fire that destroyed his home on wheels. After pulling into Toby Keith‘s I Love This Bar and Grill restaurant in Mesa, Ariz., the back end of Brice’s Prevost tour bus caught on fire, but everyone escaped with minimal damage. Brice is now reflecting on the scare.

Lee Brice‘s new single ‘A Woman Like You’ is currently burning up country radio and the country singles chart, but this weekend it was his tour bus that was doing all of the burning. Saturday afternoon (Jan. 21), Brice’s bus caught on fire outside of Toby Keith‘s I Love This Bar and Grill restaurant in Mesa, Ariz. where he was scheduled to perform with newcomer Tyler Farr.

Once in a while, I'll hear a new song at B105 that I like enough to crank it up right away.  By the time the second chorus came along, I had this one crankin'! It's almost more of a soul gospel sounding song than country and I think that's why I like it.  It's something fresh and different.  Let me know what you think!
