Cops diverted traffic as a stampede of horses made their way to Caesar's Palace, with Shania Twain at the front. At least that's what the promoters called it, a stampede, in reality it was rather calm. Shania Twain's hits blared as she made her grand entrance to kick off her performances at Caesar's Palace. It sounds like country superstars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill might be taking a hiatus from their home in Nashville to spend a few months playing the strip in Sin City. Last week, the Las Vegas Sun reported that the country music power couple are close to signing a deal to play a series of weekend concerts from October 2012 through April 2013.

The Shania Twain comeback is about to kick into another gear. Taking a cue from Garth Brooks, who resumes his Vegas shows in August, Shania is heading to Nevada to perform.

Shania Twain will come on over to Las Vegas in December 2012, launching her two-year residency at Caesars Palace. The country superstar, who has sold 75 million albums worldwide, revealed details of the concert series during a press conference at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville on June 8.

"I just can't wait," she said.

The United States Postal Service just released a new stamp featuring the Statue of Liberty. The only problem is, the Lady Liberty featured in the photo isn’t the one that has spent the last 125 years in New York Harbor, rather it’s a 14-year-old replica which currently sits in front of the New York-New York casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In real life, the casino Statue of Liberty is only half the size of the original. However, it is almost impossible to tell the difference between the two in the photo on the stamp.

The ACM's are complete and I thought this year was one of the best, and better than the CMA Awards last fall. The pace was nice and all the artists sounded great. Sometimes they may sound great if you are there, but on TV it sounds off with the vocals being mixed too quiet --but I thought this show did as good as you can do. Steven Tyler with Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley with Alabama, James Taylor with Zac Brown Band, Taylor Swift's 'Mean' -- the list goes on and on of terrific performances and I'm sure you have your favorites too, but let's get to who took home some hardware.
