I had a wonderful Mother's Day, not only am I going to be attending the Def Leppard and Foreigner concert but I also received a very inspirational gift from my daughter Kylee.  Have you ever heard of a lokai?

For those of you who have listened to me at B105 since I started, you heard me talk about my daughter Kylee since she was three years old.  She was four when we started the St. Jude radiothons and even at that young age wanted to volunteer.  This year, as B105 hit two huge milestones with St. Jude totals, Kylee was there to support mom and the kids of St. Jude again!

My daughter was only in 2nd grade on that fateful day.  I, and other parents struggled with how to explain the horrific pictures and videos to our children.  Years later, at age 17, I realized just how much she understood.  Here is the poem she wrote for a school assignment.  She read it on air Friday morning and I received several email requests for it.
